Windsor Women in Prime Spot for Competitive Pay

Forbes recently released a list of the nation's best-paying cities for women.

Women who choose to call Windsor their home are in prime position to receive for their work, according to Forbes.

The business publication recently released results of a Forbes Woman survey, which, through analyzing 2010 census data, determined the nation's best-paying cities for women.

Hartford ranked No. 7 on Forbes' list, along side Bridgeport and New Haven, which ranked Nos. 4 and 13, respectively.

The three cities' high ranking is "likely due to the large concentration of top-rated colleges and professional jobs in the region," particularly the fact the the state "attracts the financial services," Quinnipiac management professor Susan McTiernan told Forbes.

According to Forbes, women currently earn "between 70 and 80 cents for every dollar earned by men," nationally.
