The Hartford to Cut More Jobs

The insurance company says it will continue to make cuts over the next year.

Insurance giant The Hartford plans to continue to cut jobs throuth the next year, according to Masslive.com.

The Sprinfield, MA news outlet reported Monday that the company has not specified the number of jobs that will be shed, but that they will be cut, and that the company has sold its Trumbull Services LLC division, which provides outsource services, to EXLService Holdings Inc. of New York.

The cuts, according to the company's executive vice president, Gary Thompson, are a part of The Hartford's planned focus on its insurance and wealth management business.

The business of cutting jobs is not new for the company. It recently announced plans to close locations in Farmington and Southington, and move employees to its locations in Windsor and Simsbury.
