Simon Tapped to Head Hoffman Auto Marketing, Communications

Windsor's deputy mayor named director of Hoffman Auto Group's marketing and communications division.

The Hoffman Auto Group recently named Windsor's Alan Simon to be the company's director of marketing and communications.

The announcement comes on the heels of the auto group's considerable growth, which the company says Simon has greatly contributed to. Having worked for Hoffman since 2000, Simon, Windsor's deputy mayor, "totally recreated the on-line sales process of the motor group," the company said.

Under his direction, the group's website saw a 21-percent increase in visits from 2009 to 2010.

As the director of marketing and communications, Simon will oversee the company's entire advertising budget, a jump from the 20-percent he managed while serving as Hoffman Auto's internet sales and business development manager prior to his recent promotion.

"This position is really in response to the growth of the company," said Simon. "The Hoffman's have put a great deal of emphasis on reinvesting in the company."

Simon will manage the company's marketing, public relations, internet business development center and receptionists, a merger Simon attributes to Hoffman Auto's successful re-branding and reinvestment efforts.

"We are excited and know Al will take our business to the next level," said Co-chairman of the Hoffman Auto Group I. Bradley Hoffman. "By uniting our marketing and internet departments, we will be able to present a unified message to our consumer."

"Al possesses the foresight and drive to help guarantee the future of our business," added Co-chair Jeffrey Hoffman.
