Local Dining on Christmas Day
Several local establishments will be open to serve those who don't celebrate Christmas, are stuck working, or who just want to eat out this holiday season.
With businesses closed, travelers, those who don't celebrate Christmas and those who don't want to cook find themselves scrambling before the holiday to ensure they have a decent meal on Dec. 25.
Most national chains will close their doors this weekend, but there are a few local eateries that stay open year 'round — rain, sleet, snow or holiday.
in Windsor specializes in Chinese and Japanese cuisine and is open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The Poquonock Avenue restaurant offers everything from barbecue spare ribs and kung pao chicken to shrimp tempura, and a wide-variety of unique sushi rolls from its Japanese menu.

on Broad Street in Windsor will also be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The Indian bistro offers a range of traditional Indian meals. Patrons can enjoy everything from a refreshing mango lassi to the classic lamb curry or saag paneer, a vegetarian dish.
Given Windsor's proximity to Bradley International Airport, there will be plenty of travelers making the Windsor area their home this holiday season. Bradley is surrounded by hotels with restaurants that cater to airline and hotel employees who find themselves away from their own kitchens.

The River City Grille at Windsor's will be open, and is expected to get a number of flight crews spending the night and grabbing a hot meal.
Several other area restaurants will be open with full menu and bar service this weekend.
The Doubletree Hilton Hotel's in Windsor Locks will also be open with a full menu and bar on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
East Windsor is home to , an Italian, fine-dining establishment, which will be open Christmas Eve for lunch and early evening dining, and from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Day.
For those looking for a familiar dining experience, T.G.I. Friday's in Enfield will also be open both days, serving from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Christmas Day.
