Personal Touch Means Success for Windsor's Home Sweet Home Pet Care

Home Sweet Home

Dogs aren't just pets, they're part of the family. They require our love, nurturing and tons of attention. That said, sometimes life gets in the way — bringing your 200-pound adopted family member with four legs along with you to the office may cause a bit of a stir.

It was in that vain that five years ago Chris and Meg Raimo established Windsor's Home Sweet Home Pet Care — a pet care service with a one-of-a-kind personal touch provided to more than 350 families in the Greater Windsor area.

Whether working for hours during the day or off on vacation, the staff of Home Sweet Home make home calls to ensure your dog is well.

The antithesis of a kennel, Home Sweet Home's services champions the benefits of keeping a dog in its environment and out of staying with dozens of other puppies in runs.

The difference between Home Sweet Home and a kennel or another pet service, co-owner Chris Raimo said, is "are you looking for just some one or are you looking for us?"

"There are plenty of services out there, but it's a special experience when you're with us," he added.

Safe from the colds and disease a dog may be exposed to while with dozens of other dogs in a kennel, your dog, just like your child, Raimo explained, is safer at home.

With Home Sweet Home Pet Care, there's no need to schedule a drop off time or a pick up time. The staff work with your dog inside your home, providing a personal touch like none other — a personal touch that updates by email and text messages with pictures of your dog while you're away.

The local business celebrates its fifth anniversary with a day of fun at the Northwest Park dog park.

It's mostly a client appreciation day, Raimo said, but all are welcome to come by, watch their dogs have fun, socialize, bob for hot dogs and enjoy food and beverages.

The celebration will begin at 1 p.m.
