High and Low Fuel Prices for July 28

Connecticut residents are paying $4.05 per gallon of gas on average today, 35 cents more than the national per-gallon average of $3.70. The only state with more expensive gas is Hawaii, where a gallon costs $4.09.
The national per-gallon average is down 7 cents from Tuesday, July 26. The state average hasn't increased since Tuesday but has increased 10 cents since June 26, according to AAA. Connecticut gas prices peaked in 2011 on May 1, when they averaged $4.27 per gallon.
An average gallon of gas in Connecticut was priced at approximately $2.86 on July 1, 2010, $1.19 less than the current average price.
