Colonial Supper

The 19th Annual Colonial Supper will be held on Saturday, September 8th at Matthies Hall on the grounds of the Oliver Ellsworth Homestead, 778 Palisado Ave., Windsor. Members of the Connecticut Daughters of the American Revolution will serve a traditional colonial meal of ham, baked beans, potato salad, copper pennies, raisin bread, dessert and beverage. The Oliver Ellsworth Homestead was built in 1781 and was the home of Oliver Ellsworth, famous Revolutionary Patriot, Jurist and Statesman. Oliver was the third Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, one of the framers of the U.S. Constitution, one of Connectcut's first Senators and the author of the Judiciary Act.
