Windsor PD Responds to 'Suspicious Incident' at Elementary School

Windsor police responded to a call reporting the possible abduction of a small child from Poquonock School Friday, police said in a statement.

According to officials, units responded to Poquonock School after receiving a report of a man carrying a small female child from the Poquonock School playground toward a parked vehicle.

Police said no information has been learned to corroborate the alleged incident.

Police said a witness described seeing a white male clad in dark clothing -- a black beanie cap and a black jacket -- between the ages of 20 and 30 carrying a small girl of five or six years, and wearing a pink hat, and pink and purple coat.

The vehicle was described to police as an older-model blue Toyota sedan.

The incident was reported to police at 12:53 p.m.
