Flashlight Egg Hunt, Easter Bunny; March 30 @ Town Green

Children from one to 12 can enjoy the town's annual flashlight egg hunt on the Town Green Friday. The event will include an egg hunt after the sun sets, of course, and arts, crafts, games, and a visit from the Easter Bunny (parents, don't forget your cameras at home).

This event is free and will run from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. The egg hunt is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Parents are encouraged to bring their own camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny. For more information, call 860-285-1990.

Welsh for Probate Judge Fundraiser; March 30 @ Union Street Tavern

A fundraiser for probate judge cnadidate Jim Welsh will be held at the Union Street Tavern. Welsh is the only Windsor resident who has announced their campaign for the position which serves residents in Windsor, South Windsor and East Windsor.

This event will run from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Union Street Tavern on Fri., March 30. For more information, go to www.welshforprobatejudge.com.

The Windsor Jesters Present 'The Odd Couple;' March 30-31 @ L.P. Wilson

The Windsor Jesters will present two final days of the stage classic at L.P. Wilson when the curtain opens for "The Odd Couple (Female Version)."

Shows are March 30 and 31 at 8 p.m. at L.P. Wilson. Tickets purchased prior to the show cost $12 for adults, $10 for students and seniors. At the door, tickets cost $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students. Call 860-688-1526 for more information.

Spring Pancake Breakfast, Easter Bunny; March 31 @ Windsor Fire House

THe Windsor Junion Woman's Club will hold its annual Spring Pancake Breakfast Saturday morning, featuring the Easter Bunny and tons of firefighter fun for children and families to enjoy. Firetrucks will be on display for children to explore, and firefighters will be on hand to answer questions.

This event costs $5 for adults, $4 for children and includes pancakes, sausage, coffee, tea and juice. Parents are encouraged to bring their camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny. Proceeds from this breakfast will benefit local Windsor charities. Donations for the Windsor Food Bank will be accepted. The breakfast will be held from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Sat., March 31 at the Windsor Fire House on Bloomfield Avenue.

Researching Your Historic House; March 31 @ Windsor Historical Society

Whether your home was built five or fifteen decades ago, the Windsor Historical Society is set to help you research the history of your home through the use of od deeds, tax records, maps, probate materials and census data — all tools used to give you a clear picture of your home's past, from construction to the day you moved in.

The program will begin at 10 a.m. on Sat., March 31. This program costs $6 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, and $4 for members. Reservations are requested to be made by March 30 by calling 860-688-3813, ext. 102.

The Guggenheim Grotto; March 31 @ Northwest Park

The Guggenheim Grotto will return to Northwest Park saturday night for the parks next installment of its popular Coffeehouse Series. Described as alt-folk songwriters from Dublin, the duo are scheduled to perform a set of acoustic folk tunes full of two-part harmonies, a la Simon and Garfunkel.

This show will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Northwest Park's Nature Center. Tickets cost $18 and can be purchased through the Northwest Park website. Proceeds from this concert will benefit environmental education at the park.

Spring Art Exhibit; April 1 @ Town Hall

The Windsor Palette and Brush Club will hold an opening reception for its annual spring show at Town Hall on Sunday. Roughly 30 works created bo 30 local artists will be exibited on the lower level of the Town Hall until April 26. Some of the works of art will be for sale, and range in use of meda, including oils, watercolors, pastel, mixed media, stained glass, collage, drawings and photography.

This opening reception is free, and will be held from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. on Sun., April 1 in Town Hall Council Chambers. The pieces will be displayed until April 26, and will be available for viewing anytime during Town Hall operating hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., and during evening meeting times.
