Windsor Weekend Guide: Women's History, First Printmakers Invitational and More

Amelia Earhart Book Reading; March 15 @ Windsor Public Library

In honor of Women's History Month, author Chandra Prasad will be on hand at the Windsor Public Library to read from her novel, Breathe the Sky, which is inspired by Amelia Earhart's final flight — an attemp to fly around the world.

This program is free. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The program runs from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.

1st Annual CT Printmakers Invitational; March 17 @ Windsor Art Center

Saturday will mark th first annual gathering of Connecticut printmakers, and it will be celebrated with an opening reception open to the public at 5 p.m. Guest curator Martha Jeffrey Galuszka will be on hand for the opening of the gallery, which will run through April 28.

This event is free and open to the public. It will be held at the Windsor Art Center from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. A members-only preview will be held at 4:30 p.m.

Donna Martin Trio; March 17 @ Northwest Park

November's power outage forced the trio to postpone their performance, but their finally makeing it to Windsor again on Saturday, set to perform a set of modern sounds played on guitar, mandolin and upright bass bits of blues, jazz and folk mixed together.

Tickets for this show cost $18 and can be purchased through the Northwest Park Website. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Poetry on the Line; March 18 @ Windsor Art Center

The popular series returns to the Art Center on Sunday, featuring the works of poets Katharine Carle and Joan Kantor.

This event is free, and begins at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tea and cookies will be served at 3 p.m.
