Windsor Historical Society Receives $30K Donation Toward Strong Howard House Project

The Windsor Historical Society is the recent recipient of a $30,000 donation from Windsor Federal Savings.

The funds will go toward the Strong Howard House project to restore the society's signature red clapboard building, according to a post on the Hartford Courant Web site

"Windsor Federal Savings' early and generous support will allow us to transform our Strong Howard House into a place where school children and visitors of all ages are invited inside to touch, smell, explore, and relive what life was like two hundred years ago," Christine Ermenc, the society's executive director, said in a prepared statement.
