Good News: Windsor Schools Challenged by Get Baked, Shad Fest Bureau

The district has been challenged to secure a donation supporting drug and alcohol-free fun after graduation this year.

The Shad Derby is all about community. The festival and parade are funded and run, top to bottom, by volunteers — members of Windsor's many civic groups.

The effort to get everyone in the community involved just got a little more fun, as Get Baked has partnered with the Shad Fest Bureau to challenge Windsor Public Schools to a pie-eating contest, all in the name of promoting students' safety.

The Central Street bakery is donating a variety of pies for the occasion. All that's needed is eight administrators or teacher of Windsor schools to step up to the plate. If they do, the Shad Fest Bureau plans to donate $250 to this year's Project Graduation.
