Windsor girls and boys of all ages will showcase their creativity and talent at the annual “Windsor Public Schools’ Student Art Show” from Tuesday, April 3 through Monday, April 30. The colorful artwork will be on display at Windsor Town Hall at 275 Broad Street Windsor on Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. More than 100 original works of art by students in Kindergarten through Grade 12 will be featured in the hallways on the Main level and in the Council Chambers on the lower level.
All Windsor residents are invited to an Opening Reception on Tuesday, April 3 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. From 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., guests will be treated to music performed by the Clover Street School Orchestra. Then at 6:30 p.m., a Fashion Show will be presented by Windsor High School’s Fashion & Clothing class. Complimentary refreshments will be provided. There is no fee to attend the Opening Reception and reservations are not required.
The Windsor Public Schools’ Student Art Show will feature a wide variety of mediums including: drawings in graphite, markers, colored chalk, and pen and ink; watercolor and tempura paintings; collages; stitchery; printmaking; weaving; prints of ceramic work; and mixed media. This marks the eighth year that the Art Show will be on display at Town Hall. Prior to that time, it was held for decades in the nearby Windsor Public Library.
