Black History Month/Women's History Month Presentation

Entitled Stories of Survival, the Windsor Historical Society will commemorate Black History Month and Women's History Month by presenting gifted storyteller Gwendolyn Quezaire-Presutti as she tells about Connecticut's 19-year old Sarah Harris, an African American girl. Harris dreamed of attending Prudence Crandall's school for girls, and her acceptance to Crandall's boarding school set in motion a chain of events leading to boycotts, harassment and attacks on the school. Hear how Sarah surmounted prejudice and bigotry to follow her dream.

The cost of this program is $6 adults, $5 seniors, $4 members. Call 860-688-3813 for more information or visit www.windsorhistoricalsociety.org.
