Bart's hosted the car show Wednesday evening.
The Windsor-based car club, Dreamz II Reality Motorsports (DIIR), staged its first
weekly “Summer Dreamz” cruise night of 2011 at Bart’s Drive-In on Palisado Avenue on Wednesday evening.
Summer Dreamz cruises welcome all makes and models of classic and modern cars, trucks and motorcycles. The first event had around 70 vehicles, with a cross section ranging from a classic 1950s Chevy right up to modern-day imports and domestics.
Formed in 2005, DIIR is one of the premier clubs in Connecticut. The DIIR crew is made up of devoted and enthusiastic petrol heads, who display the consistency and dedication needed to become actively involved in the car show circuit. DIIR has members in CT, MA and NY, with plans to keep growing stronger.
The club is staging two major shows this year – The Reality Shows. The first is being held on May 15 at the Porter and Chester Institute in Rocky Hill, while the second in on September 18, again at a Porter and Chester site only this time in Chicopee, MA. Should the weather intervene, the rain dates for these shows are one week after the original dates.
