The first portion of construction for the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield Rail program continues, and it will begin to affect things in Windsor Mon., Oct. 28.
According to the town, Amtrak will continue the installation of underground signal and communication cables — work that is necessary before track and additional infrastructure improvements can be made.
Construction will occur at grade crossings from the south end to north end of town — work that will include “excavation, backfilling and paving.
The work will occur at the following locations from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.:
Mon., Oct. 28 - Fri., Nov. 1: Meadow Road
Tues., Oct. 29 - Fri., Nov. 1: Wilson Avenue
Wed., Oct. 30 - Fri., Nov. 1: East Barber Street
Mon., Nov. 4 - Fri., Nov. 8: Island Road
Tues., Nov. 5 - Fri., Nov. 8: Central Street
Wed., Nov. 6 - Fri., Nov. 8: Pierson Lane
Mon., Nov. 11 - Thurs., Nov. 14: Macktown Road
Tues., Nov. 12 - Thurs., Nov. 14: Hayden Station Road
