Revamped Sharshon Park Set to Host Free Family Day

Following a bit of a facelift, Wilson's Sharshon Park is ready to show families in town a good time, and the Windsor Police Department is taking full advantage.

On June 22, the department will host a Family Fun Day at the park in an effort to increase familiarity among neighbors and provide good old-fashioned fun at the same time.

Sponsored by the Wilson Deerfield Advisory Committee, the event's being billed as a free day of "games, music, food and activities for all," according to Windsor Police Department representatives.

Activities include a brand new horseshoe court, a dj, a frisbee stunt demonstration, a bounce house, the Wilson Branch Library's new Wilson's Stop children's room and more.

The event runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
