Planning on heading out to watch Super Bowl XLV? Here is a list of the best places in the area to catch the game.
- Union Street Tavern
- The Scene: Located in the heart of Windsor Center, Union Street Tavern has flat-screen televisions that line the wall behind a bar stocked with a variety of local brews. The food is a good complement to the night's festivities as well.
- Buffalo Wild Wings
- The Scene: This chain establishment is made to meet the needs of sports fans. The lively atmosphere, complemented by large television screens and a large menu of classic Super Bowl-party foods will do plenty to ensure that Super Bowl Sunday is a memberable night.
- Tunxis Grill & Pizzeria
- The Scene: This local establishment, located on Poquonock Avenue, has been refitted with 10-HD TV's and a full bar. It's been keeping fans happy all season long with a full NFL package.
- AD's Pizzeria & Lounge
- The Scene: This is a dedicated Steelers' bar located in Windsor Locks. Walking in wearing green and gold is not recommended, as Terrible Towls will be waved with fury Sunday night.
- The Scene: Just a short drive down route 75, The Fan Club in Windsor Locks is spacious and relaxed, with many TVs and a "liquid" bar top if the game can't hold your interest. A full-service kitchen compliments the many beers, wines and mixed drinks offered. If you're looking for a sports bar close to home, this may just be the place.
