North Madison Is Taking It To The Streets!

Snowed in? Cedarcroft Drive was, as of Sunday afternoon. And then neighbors learned a neighbor needs to get to a medical appointment Monday ... so here's what they are doing ...

This just in from Charla on Cedarcroft Drive  ...

My neighbors got together and started to clear our street this morning.  What started as a footpath grew wide enough for a car (maybe) once they learned that the woman at the end of the street needed to go for a medical appointment tomorrow- and we may not be plowed out by then.

You've heard of a bucket brigade? They've formed a shovel/snowblower brigade ...

The current administration is more concerned about Constitution Park and removing the overhead power lines through the center of town. I say we sell the park and buy some snow removal machines or other resources that will help us in these more numerous natural disasters

Just got in from a trip in to town center from Windermere. Boston Post road was clear pavement to the Connector. Bumpy to Liberty St. and then a disaster to the center of town. Noticed that the town side streets were in much better shape. No parking on street in down town except in front of Coffee Shop. Stop and shop shelves are depleted but their were folks (store & vendors) stocking shelves at 10:00am. Did not have to wait at deli counter( a first!) All in all my mistake to hit the road this morning.

Gus - I did the reverse trip early this morning making a visit to Dunkin Donuts. Your description of the road conditions is very accurate. Whatever entity the plowed east of the connector obviously quit when they reached said connector because the rest of Rt. 1 is horrible.
