Windsor Garden Club presents “The Role of a Tree Warden"

As a Tree Warden for the Town of Windsor, Jim Govoni’s position includes designing landscapes, flower plantings and managing our Urban Forest.  Tonight he will discuss his role as our Tree Warden and also Tree Planting.  Currently Jim is the president of The Tree Wardens Association of CT and he is a Task Force Member on Commissioner Daniel Esty’s State Vegetative Management Task Force.  Jim Govoni has been employed by The Town of Windsor for 31 years currently as Tree Warden.  He has completed The Meswaka Tree Program and
Coverts Project with The State of CT. . 
Light refreshments and beverages will be provided starting at 6:30 pm. JIm will begin his talk at 7:00 p.m. After the presentation, we will have updates from our committees and review any new business. Please RSVP if you are planning to attend to Laura at 860-305-7306. Admission is Free for those interested in gardening and the Windsor Garden Club.
