Butterfly Walk at Northwest Park, Windsor


A butterfly walk will be conducted at Northwest Park, Windsor by The Connecticut Butterfly Association at 10am on Saturday, June 9.  Roy Zatarian will lead the walk and discussion. This walk will go within the 12,500 square foot butterfly garden and around the outlying fields. Among the varieties expected are swallowtails, fritillaries, anglewings, sulphurs, along with small and large skippers including the uncommon Hoary Edge. Meet The Connecticut Butterfly Association at the Northwest Park parking lot. This program is free to the public and recommended for ages 8 and above.  Parental supervision is required. Water, sunscreen, mosquito and tick repellent are recommended.  Members of the Connecticut Butterfly Association will be on hand to net and identify specimens.  Northwest Park is located at 145 Lang Road, Windsor, CT.
