Do You Like Your Weather Hot?

It's going to be a hot one this week.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the Mansfield-Storrs area, saying a heat advisory will be probable based on the predicted temperatures between Monday and Saturday.

The advisory would be issued if the temperature went above 100 degrees.

There is also the "increased risk of scattered showers and thunderstorms between Thursday and Saturday and the potential for 'organized' severe weather."

Here's the forecast:

  • Monday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 2pm and 3pm, then a slight chance of showers after 3pm. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  • Tuesday: Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 92. Calm wind becoming north 5 to 8 mph in the morning.
  • Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 92.
  • Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 91. Chance of precipitation is 30%..
  • Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 89. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  • Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 89. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
