ORDER WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA BY DECEMBER 2 FOR CEREMONY IN WINDSOR

Carmon Community Funeral Homes is hosting a Wreaths Across America wreath-laying ceremony in the Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery on East Street on Saturday, December 14 at 2 p.m. The community is encouraged to attend this special event.

Anyone may buy a $15 wreath to be placed during that ceremony, and all payments must be received by Monday, December 2. People who purchase a wreath should note if it is for a specific veteran buried in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery. “Our December 14 ceremony in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery will feature a color guard, readings by members of the clergy and veterans, to be followed the ceremonial laying of wreaths,” explains John C. "Jay" Carmon, Jr. of Carmon Community Funeral Homes. “We are very pleased to be able to join Wreaths Across America to honor the lives and service of our local veterans. We also will donate a portion of the purchase of each wreath to veterans groups in our community.”
