Holiday Tradition of Belled Wreaths Continues at Carmon Community Funeral Homes

In the holiday classic “It’s a Wonderful Life,” the ringing of a bell signifies that another angel has received its wings. It is in this spirit that Carmon Community Funeral Homes created a special remembrance program – one that has become a holiday tradition for the 67-year-old family-owned firm.

During the month of December, Carmon Funeral Home on 807 Bloomfield Ave. in Windsor and many of the family’s other locations will feature nondenominational holiday wreaths with bells.

“We create these belled wreaths as a way of honoring the individuals we served over the past year,” explains John C. Carmon, President of Carmon Community Funeral Homes. “We will provide a bell ornament as a special remembrance to those families we served who request one, and also to anyone else who wants to remember a loved one who recently died.”
