GFWC Windsor Woman's Club - October Speaker

The GFWC Windsor Woman’s Club’s October 8th speaker was Debbie Baer Fiske, (WTIC radio analyst for UCONN women’s basketball and former Huskies point guard), who spoke about her time as a UCONN player; coach at St. Joseph’s; and radio analyst.

Debbie spoke highly of her UCONN coaches and fellow players and gave the club’s members some insights into how they and the school help the women athletes do well in their studies on the road (practice, eat, study, practice, eat, study, sleep and repeat). 

The GFWC Windsor Woman’s Club is part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. The GFWC, started in New York in 1890, is an organization dedicated to community improvement through volunteering.
