GFWC Windsor Woman's Club - Canoe Race

There are lots of things to do Saturday, October 12, 2013 on the Windsor Green, at the Chili Fest and Lion’s Arts and Crafts Fair; especially the annual “canoe race” which benefits the Windsor Food Bank. Several local non-profit organizations each sponsor a canoe, and collect non-perishable items, which are weighted. The distance the canoe travels determines the winner of the race. Monetary donations are also accepted.

The GFWC Windsor Woman's Club is again sponsoring a canoe and is putting out a call to one and all to please come on October 12th, after 11am, and before 2pm, with your heavy non-perishable items or, if you prefer, cash, which is always welcome.

The GFWC Windsor Woman’s Club is part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. The GFWC, started in New York in 1890, is an organization dedicated to community improvement through volunteering.
